Three wedding dates and two venues later, Christina and Dane were finally able to have the wedding day of their dreams! In June 2021, at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach, all the people this lovely couple loved most gathered to celebrate their love story. And I couldn’t be more thrilled they chose to stick with me throughout all of the wildness—from first engagement session to final wedding day!
Read MoreOne evening, as the pair watched the sunset from their Brooklyn terrace, Ryan popped the question! And this East Coast couple began planning a dream West Coast destination wedding! Emily and Ryan's intimate beachside celebration in San Diego, CA, at the Catamaran Resort, was a fairytale ending to the first chapter in their story and an exciting beginning to the next. And I was beyond thrilled that I was there to document it all!
Read MoreI love hanging out with the Pellegrini clan and photographing their growing family! We brought out a whole brood of them this round and started our time together with some individual and group photos. Their family owns a ranch in California, and it is simply a photographer’s dream to get to hang out there with the California setting sun and sprawling hills.
Read MoreI always love meeting up with Stahl Family year after year, and it is made even sweeter by having started this journey before they were even married! We chose this year to meet up at Folsom Lake, and even though the water level isn’t quite what is used to be, the surrounding area is still beautiful. Every year the Stahl family tries to choose a new fun location, and this year chose the Folsom Lake Marina.
Read MoreI was so excited to get to see Emily and Matt again after photographing their wedding several years prior. We met up at Vasona Lake County Park in Los Gatos, California, and were welcomed by a burst of colorful trees. Fall is such a special time, and definitely one of the best times to do a family session!
Read MoreWhoever first said “opposites attract” probably looked into a crystal ball and saw Rebecca and Travis! After dating for seven years, Rebecca had definitely imagined what her future wedding day would be like. And from the moment I read about them in the inquiry they sent me, I knew their mostly DIY Quail Ranch wedding celebration was going to be perfectly them!
Read More“You two are definitely going to get married,” the bartender who witnessed Liz and Dan’s first date said. Turns out, he was totally right! On July 10, 2022, his prediction came true during a beautiful Ethereal Gardens wedding in Escondido, CA. And I was there to document it all from behind my camera!
Read MoreSometimes California pulls out all of the stops, and that was definitely the case for Jenn and Stuart’s sunset engagement session at Leo Carrillo State Beach. Not only did we get a picture perfect sunset, their son SJ even joined us for a few spur of the moment family photos. While I don’t work full time in California any longer, trips like these sure make me miss the weather- and dare I say it, even the beach.
Read MoreThey say that when you know, you know. That’s how Jordyn and Matt felt when they met on a night out dancing at Moonshine Beach. To honor their love for dancing, the couple filled their May 2021 wedding at Coto Valley Country Club with dancing of all kinds, from intimate choreographed dances to full group hurrahs to the tune of “We Are Family.” Basically, it was the most fun celebration ever!
Read MoreChristina and Dane had to reschedule their California wedding date not once, and not twice, but three times before they were able to finally tie down a date at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach in Dana Point for their upcoming wedding. It was only fitting after doing our first engagement session at Victoria Beach, to catch back up at Vasquez Rocks, and repeat the glorious process!
Read MoreHanging with the Saldutti family is always a highlight to any day or even any wedding, as I am lucky enough to get to see these smiling faces pretty often. We were able to get together the morning after a wedding in Winters, Ca and create some new memories for their little family. October doesn’t always look like Fall in California, but at least their yellow pallette let us pretend a little bit.
Read MoreWhen I had my first phone call with Jordyn and Matt, I knew that they were two humans I was going to love working with. They were on a last minute vacation with their family, shouting above the background noise to schedule an engagement session at Treasure Island Beach in Laguna Hills. I love this place for all the incredible tide pools, and background diversity. (It even makes a great spot for a few maternity photos, as I’ve found out before!) Even though we were not blessed with a typical California sunset, Jordyn and Matt lit up the area with their shining personalities, and obvious love for each other.
Read MoreI swear the Bernatowicz Family gets cuter and cuter every year, and I never stop looking forward to our family session at the Manhattan Beach Pier in Manhattan Beach. This has definitely become a yearly ritual, and watching Jackson grow up is my favorite part! This year, we loved dinosaurs. I can relate to this, so we spent a good portion of this session saying the dinosaur names, and well, running into the water; because who doesn’t love that?!
Read MoreI could share this Bella Vista Groves wedding in Fillmore, California all day every day. Filled with navy blue accents, sunset kisses, and tons of tears; Rachel and Jon could not have had a more beautiful, heart wrenching Southern California fall wedding if they tried. I was lucky to be a part of their team of vendors, that they frequently referred to as ‘The Dream Team’ and with how beautiful the decor for this day turned out, they had to be right.
Read MoreDanni and Adam had an absolutely stunning fall wedding at the Coto Valley Country Club in Trabuco Canyon, Ca. The Coto Valley Country Club is hidden behind the gates of the luxurious Coto de Caza community, home to events from the 1984 Summer Olympics! Danni and Adam chose to decorate this already picturesque venue with blush and champagne flowers, although it truly was not necessary as the trees were bursting with fall colors.
Read MorePhotographing Breanna and Kyle and their beautiful family at Loon Lake in the Eldorado National Forest in Ca was definitely one of the highlights of my incredible year. I have known Breanna since we were 8 years old, and watching her grow into a beautiful mama has been so wonderful. Charlotte came crashing into the world a little bit early, interrupting her mama’s plans for maternity photos. So I was so happy we got to finally meet up, just with this little bundle of the joy out of the womb and not in.
Read MoreThere is not a moment that goes by that I am not grateful for families like the Stahl Family! I have gotten to photograph these beauties for all of their important milestones, and it warms my heart every year to see their children multiply. The Roberts Christmas Tree Farm in Pollock Pines, California is such an incredible place to capture a family of one, or a family of several, and their forest vibes continue to be one of my favorites.
Read MoreSarah Elizabeth and Aurel had an incredible intimate destination backyard wedding in Carmichael, California overlooking the American River. Carmichael is a small city outside of Sacramento, and not one that most people would associate with a destination wedding- but I am here to prove all you naysayers wrong. After meeting on Bumble and sharing an incredible first date, they shared that “we've been inseparable ever since,” leading us to this once in a lifetime wedding location. Traveling from Austin, Texas; these two combined Aurel’s Romanian culture and Sarah Elizabeth’s love of the American River to create one unique and unforgettable romantic wedding.
Read MoreThere are not many beaches as beautiful as Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach, Ca, so when your couple decides they want their engagement session there; you know that you are in for a real treat! Known for their famous 'Pirate Tower’, Victoria Beach is incredibly picturesque with its white sand beach and historical accolades. The downside of any beach engagement session would definitely have to be how the ocean just knows that you are wearing white, but Christina and Dane laughed all the way through their session- even after being soaked to the bone!
Read MoreI love this couple and their wedding, and love even more that they were featured on Bridal Musings!
What made Emily and Matt's wedding day special at Quail Ranch in Simi Valley, Ca was their dream to have the perfect unperfect wedding that reflected their love and unconventional relationship. Emily dreamed of an unpolished look, fulfilling it with mismatched rose and cream bridesmaid dresses and free-form cascading bouquets. The two of them also dreamed of an outdoor wedding!
