Vanessa and Tony’s engagement session was an unforgettable experience at a one-of-a-kind rustic musician’s cabin in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles. This charming 1940s cabin, originally built as a weekend hunting lodge, remains a testament to the quintessential Laurel Canyon aesthetic with timeless charm. The rustic design and bohemian vibes make it a perfect backdrop for this couple's engagement photos, and it's no surprise the cabin is a popular spot for fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle photo shoots. What I found extra special, was how the owner actually lives in the space with their children. We were treated to not only the rustic design, but sweet touches of a house lived and loved in.

Vanessa and Tony chose this unique cabin for their engagement session because it felt like home. “We loved the intimate and cozy feel of the home. It felt like us,” they explained. This beautiful cabin, with its mid-century furniture and exposed beam ceilings truly captures the couple’s personality and the cozy, yet sophisticated, vibe they adore.

The cabin's rustic charm combined with the natural beauty of California picturesque Laurel Canyon made it the perfect location to capture this exciting chapter of their love story.

How Vanessa and Tony Met and Fell in Love

Vanessa and Tony's love story began in college in 2014 when they met in a sign language class. They quickly became close friends, hanging out together before and after class, and their friendship blossomed into a beautiful romantic relationship. Their bond grew over time, and they soon found themselves inseparable.

Fast forward to their 10-year anniversary trip to Europe, where Tony surprised Vanessa with a proposal in Paris. “I was initially a little suspicious when a package got delivered to the house before our trip,” Vanessa shared. But Tony played it cool, gifting her a pair of earrings during the trip and reassuring her that the package was nothing special. It wasn’t until a few days later in the City of Love when Tony proposed in a private, intimate moment, catching Vanessa completely off guard. "It was the best surprise I could have ever asked for," Vanessa recalled.

For Tony, it was a relief to finally pop the question after keeping the secret all throughout their European getaway.

Upcoming Wedding at Rancho Las Lomas

From their engagement photos in this iconic spot, Vanessa and Tony are now preparing for their spring wedding at the breathtaking Rancho Las Lomas, which will also blend their love for nature, charm, and intimacy- including their 150 closest friends and family.

Rancho Las Lomas in California is a stunning venue known for its natural beauty and breathtaking views, and their wedding day promises to be an extension of the love, creativity, and fun they’ve incorporated into every aspect of their engagement. Not to mention their professor from college will be officiating their big day!

I can’t wait to capture the next chapter of this beautiful couple's love story at their wedding at Rancho Las Lomas, where their journey will continue in the most perfect way.
