They say that when you know, you know. That’s how Jordyn and Matt felt when they met on a night out dancing at Moonshine Beach. To honor their love for dancing, the couple filled their May 2021 wedding at Coto Valley Country Club with dancing of all kinds, from intimate choreographed dances to full group hurrahs to the tune of “We Are Family.” Basically, it was the most fun celebration ever!
Read MoreChristina and Dane had to reschedule their California wedding date not once, and not twice, but three times before they were able to finally tie down a date at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach in Dana Point for their upcoming wedding. It was only fitting after doing our first engagement session at Victoria Beach, to catch back up at Vasquez Rocks, and repeat the glorious process!
Read MoreI swear the Bernatowicz Family gets cuter and cuter every year, and I never stop looking forward to our family session at the Manhattan Beach Pier in Manhattan Beach. This has definitely become a yearly ritual, and watching Jackson grow up is my favorite part! This year, we loved dinosaurs. I can relate to this, so we spent a good portion of this session saying the dinosaur names, and well, running into the water; because who doesn’t love that?!

Kassidy and Andrew were married at the Carondelet House in Los Angeles, Ca, and the whole night was full of beautiful unique details that I swoon over every time I think about it. To start with, Kassidy and Andrew decided to have an evening wedding, starting the actual celebration just as the sun was setting. Their ceremony also started and ended with readings from "The Awesome Book of Love," which mentions dinosaurs, which I am an absolute sucker for. I had to look it up after the fact just to be sure the amazingness I though I had heard. The whole things was also Spanish inspired, a theme that expanded into the Cuatro Caminos Arts & Flamenco group that entertained both the wedding guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour, but also taught dances. The whole evening also had a giant focus on food, with not only a pizza truck arriving at the end of the night, but homemade salsa as their wedding favors. I scattered quotes from the amazing Kassidy throughout this blog, and you’re going to love her as much as I do after you read it all!
I’m not going to lie, I spent way too much time loving every single moment of this entire wedding day at the Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel, in Agoura Hill, Ca! From my very first meeting with the couple, I was beyond stoked to hear that their wedding was not only on May the 4th, (ahem, may the force be with you, ahem), but it was going to include some incredibly classy Star Wars elements. I honestly do not think I’ve seen so many light-sabers in one location, and I also don’t think I’ll ever see a dance floor conga line while simultaneously battling each other.
Read MoreBrenna and Justice traveled from Oklahoma all the way to Los Angeles, California to elope. They knew they wanted a location that would show the beauty that is Southern California, so they chose Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, Ca. Griffith Observatory is an incredible location to take some elopement pictures, especially when you arrive at sunrise!
Read MorePhotographing Jennie and James around Pacific Palisades, Ca was anything but boring! We started at the Temescal Canyon Park in Pacific Palisades and ended for sunset at Will Rogers State Beach, and the entire session was a ball of laughs. I honestly would not have expected anything less from a couple that got engaged at Disneyland on the Fourth of July. Between running from the ocean, and skipping through the fields, Jennie and James make a perfect pair that are always finding joy in each other’s company.
Read MoreEugenie and Justin chose the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, Ca for their engagement photos, and it is such a stunning place to get to visit. Besides its sprawling views of the Los Angeles skyline, this historical building also boasts incredible architectural. Opened in the early 1900’s, it was the first institution in the United States dedicated to public science. The Griffith Observatory is always free to visit, and makes for a beautiful location to capture an engagement session. Eugenie and Justin chose to do their engagement session at sunset, and we were able to watch the sun descend over the Los Angeles basin.
Read MoreJayna and Daniel have the sweetest love story, and when we had a change to do an engagement session in Venice, Ca before their wedding day I was stoked! Traveling from Washington DC, they planned a destination wedding in Santa Margarita, Ca from across the country; we were not entirely sure that our schedules would match up for an engagement session in California! I am so glad that they did, because everything about this sunset session was magical. We started at the Flowerboy Project, a local coffee shop in Venice that these two used to frequent; and ended up at that Venice Pier, in Venice, Ca to wrap up their engagement session.
Read MoreI’m absolutely loving the age of four. I had the pleasure of getting to photograph the Bernatowicz family again at the Manhattan Beach Pier in Manhattan Beach, Ca. The age of four doesn’t mean that Jackson still doesn’t love his Transformer’s, but it does mean they are advanced enough that the sand at the beach would destroy them. Speaking of sand, 2018 was apparently the year of sand. From the moment the four of them (including the adorable and always loved dog Holly) stepped on the beach, Jackson could not get enough of it. From sand angels, to the spontaneous jaunt into the ocean to kick the sand; it was a good thing the family was headed to pizza for dinner. Which I can proudly say I was even invited to by Jackson himself. Go watch him grow up, because it couldn’t be cuter.

I absolutely love intimate weddings, and Elizabeth and Tim had exactly that. Not only was it a family style dinner hosted by Manuela, serving the best locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients in downtown Los Angeles, Ca, but they also had a very short and emotional mini-mony in the Hauser & Wirth courtyard. Hauser & Wirth is a stunning art gallery installation and communal space in the heart of the Los Angeles Downtown Arts District. Complete with chickens, an underwear installation, and beautifully decorated walls; Hauser & Wirth rotate between local contributions. T
Read MoreAngie and Nick’s wedding at SkyPark at Santa's Village in Lake Arrowhead, Ca was everything they envisioned and so much more. When I talked to Angie about her vision for the big day, she said she wanted it to feel like a “romantic dark forest theme, with a little bit of vintage style as well”. Well I think they absolutely nailed it! SkyPark at Santa's Village is the most beautiful forest venue, paired with an amusement park? Which sounds crazy, but surprisingly works incredibly well. The backdrop for not only the ceremony, but the entire reception is surrounded by a portion of 230 acres of natural forest. The bride and groom even get to adventure into the middle of that forest for their first look, as well as portraits.
Read MoreLalig and Jamil had such a fun wedding in Montebello, Ca with a beautiful wine, navy and gold color palette. But what made this day extra special, was all of the fun Armenian traditions throughout the day. While they did not make the day hundred percent traditional, Lalig and Jamil did add in some traditions to represent their beautiful culture. Before the ceremony, Lalig’s brother placed money in her shoe for good luck and with the help of mom, then placed her shoes on her feet. All of her family is also in attendance, and watches on during all of the events. After her shoes are on, Lalig’s veil was circled over her head three times by a happily married woman to bring her marriage luck.

This was Kassidy and Andrew’s dream engagement session, and I have to say that it’s pretty much mine as well. We met at the nearby La Brea Tar Pits park, as it is next door to their favorite pizza place: Apollonia's Pizzeria! The people at Apollonia's Pizzeria were even nice enough to create a pineapple heart, and for all you haters; yes, pineapple does belong on pizza.
Read MoreI've always heard other photographers talk about how they just wanted to take their client's children home with them, and while I do love all of my clients, I didn't want to steal one until I met Aahana. This little princess steals your heart the second you meet her, and the entire time you can't help but find her laughter contagious. At a little over 2, I'll be surprised to if she doesn't continue to win all the hearts of those she meets as she grows older.
Read MoreI cannot believe that this little munchkin is officially 2 years old as of yesterday! I had the chance to see her before she was born in this beautiful mama's stomach, when she was born for her newborn photos, 6 months later for that, and these photos; from last Christmas.
She is growing up into such a beautiful little girl, and already exploring the world! Right now her and her parents are in France renovating they're family home, and I can only imagine the amazing experience they are all having!
Happy 2nd Birthday Avery!
Read MoreIt is the most magical experience to arrive to a location for an engagement session and be blessed with the most golden light every where you look! Placerita Canyon State Park, CA delivered beyond my little photographer's most wildest dreams. Not only that, but Katie and Brian brought along their gorgeous rescued Siberian Husky Dakota. We were able to wander among this hiking path and find some pretty amazing spots, even if Dakota was more interested in the squirrels than us!
Read MoreIt was so exciting to finally meet Priscilla and Robert for their engagement session today at the absolutely beautiful Pasadena Courthouse in Pasadena, California. With everyone's crazy schedules, we had to plan this session in the middle of the day, but with these two rocking some gorgeous attire; and the architectural beauty of this historic building- we definitely made it work!

Photographing the Bernatowicz family for their indoor newborn session in Los Angeles, California was so much fun, especially when you add in not only a cute newborn baby, but also a puppy. I was so blessed to get to photograph this amazing family and their newborn son Jackson for not only their newborn session, but several follow up sessions documenting his growth!
Check out this session featured on Grey Likes Baby!
I had the absolutely honor of photographing this gorgeous little girl after she was born. Avery is the perfect, and currently now walking, little girl of the owner of MomEtc. This entire session was such a blast, filled with simplicity and love. You can tell how smitten these new parents are, and it's not hard to see why!
