real moments, real emotions
Rebecca and Erik’s wedding at The Gatehouse at Lionsgate Event Center in Lafayette, Colorado was the perfect balance of history, elegance, and personality. From custom-designed rings sculpted by Erik himself, to a Norwegian-inspired processional where the two walked down the aisle together, their celebration at Lionsgate was every bit as meaningful as it was beautiful.
Rachel and Dominic’s Jackson Hole micro wedding was a reminder that staying true to yourself is the secret to planning an unforgettable celebration. While a big bash in their native Chicago was plan A, the couple reevaluated their desires midway through the planning process. They ended up planning an intimate summer wedding against the backdrop of the Tetons and inviting their closest loved ones.
Lindsi and Nick’s winter wedding at The St. Vrain in Longmont, Colorado, was a perfect mix of meaningful moments, fun personal touches, and unforgettable celebrations. Held in March, this beautiful day was full of charm, laughter, and unique details, making it a day to remember for everyone involved.
After photographing Bonnie and Charles’ engagement session, I was thrilled to capture their wedding day at Briarwood Estate in Mount Vernon, Washington! Not only did I get to reconnect with this amazing couple, but I had the fun challenge of shooting on digital and two types of film. Described by Bonnie as a “boho-chic garden party with a dash of whimsy,” it was an outdoor celebration filled with heartfelt moments shared between loved ones.
When Isabel and Danny started planning their wedding, they wanted a space that could capture both her vision for romance and his love of an unforgettable party. Creekside Event Center ended up being the perfect fit.
Fall and romance were in the air for Abigail and James’s engagement session at Kathryn Albertson Park in Boise, Idaho! We shot the photos in early October, when the foliage was at its peak. Joined by the couple’s three dogs, we wandered through an autumn wonderland drenched in bright hues of red, green, and gold. It was simply lovely!
Kimberlee and Caleb’s wedding at White Barn Estate was a reminder that sometimes the simplest celebrations are the most memorable. With your loved ones, good food, and space to bust a few dance moves, you have all you need—no over-the-top decorations or complicated logistics required!
Every so often, you meet a couple who makes you believe—or reinforces your belief—in soulmates. Ellie and Matt are one of those couples! I had the honor of photographing their wedding at Pomona at Blue Barn near Rochester, New York, last August. It was a day of big emotions, big love, and even bigger dance moves!
Natalie and Nate met on Hinge in the fall of 2020. “After about two weeks of texting, we finally met in person with a little help from liquid courage on Natalie’s side and encouragement from Nate’s work friends,” they said. The pair was inseparable after that and moved in together in May 2022. Then, a year and a half later, Nate popped the question (more on that in a bit!). I’m so glad I could photograph this couple’s Gold Fork River engagement session!
You might remember Tiffany and Curtis from their Anderson Ranch Reservoir engagement session! The couple met through their local fishing club, the Mountain Home Hawg Hunters, when Curtis drew Tiffany as his tournament partner. After spending more time together enjoying their shared hobby, Curtis asked Tiffany on a date—and eventually, he asked her to marry him! The two tied the knot in a fall wedding last October on Tiffany’s parents’ ranch.
Some wedding days feel like they were made for the mountains, and Kelsey & Justin’s Wednesday celebration at Della Terra Mountain Chateau was exactly that. Tucked into Estes Park’s golden September light, this intimate mountain wedding balanced heartfelt moments with pure fun, think unity tree planting, custom favors, and even a round of disc golf during the reception.
Three days before saying “I do” at their summer wedding at The Colorado Chautauqua Toni and Chris joined me for a golden hour engagement session at Artist Point in Boulder, Colorado and honestly, I can’t think of a more magical way to kick off wedding week.
Anderson Ranch Reservoir, located north of Mountain Home, Idaho, was perfect for Tiffany and Curtis’ engagement session. Not only are the couple Mountain Home locals, but they met fishing (more on that later!). The high desert surrounding the reservoir provided a stunning backdrop. Later, we headed to a spot overlooking the South Fork Boise River to watch the sunset. The beautiful vista and authentic interactions between this sweet couple were this documentary photographer’s dream!
With sweeping 360° views of the Rocky Mountains, the YMCA of the Rockies’ Estes Park Center was the perfect backdrop for Ann and Landis’s autumn wedding. Their celebration at Mountainside Lodge brought together 75 of their closest friends and family for a day full of heartfelt moments, mountain beauty, and plenty of personal touches.
Elise and Chris are a laid-back couple who love spending time outdoors. Their DIY wedding reflected their personalities through and through! Tucked into the backyard of a private rented chalet near Sun Valley, the couple exchanged vows and celebrated with 32 of their nearest and dearest. Documenting the day was an honor!
Some sessions just feel like hanging out with old friends, this was one of them. Kelsey and Justin brought their sweet pup, Harvey, to Long Lake at Brainard Lake Recreation Area for their July engagement session, and from the second we met up, I knew it was going to be a blast.
Nestled in the breathtaking beauty of Gold Creek Pond, Bonnie and Charles’ engagement session was nothing short of magical. With the serene alpine lake as their backdrop and the golden light filtering through the trees, their love shone effortlessly. But before we dive into their dreamy engagement session, let’s rewind to the moment that started it all—the proposal.
Lillian and Joel have totally unique personalities, so it’s no surprise that their mountainside wedding at Redfish Lake Lodge in Stanley, Idaho, encapsulated that! Homemade decorations, screamo and metal music, whiskey flasks, and bubble guns were all part of this entirely one-of-a-kind day.
Katherine and Andrew had a country chic wedding out of a magazine starting at Bar SZ Ranch and ending at their family ranch, LP Ranch in California. LP Ranch is where Andrew grew up and is owned by his family, so it was full of personal touches. After days of torrential downpours in the state, the hills were alive with flowers of all kinds!
Emma and Emily’s wedding at Cannon Beach, Oregon looked like it was straight out of a movie! They said “I do” at Ecola State Park, a stunning blend of ocean and forest and a perfect spot to have a wedding.
