Family-Focused Wedding at White Barn Estate in Oregon | Kimberlee and Caleb
Kimberlee and Caleb’s wedding at White Barn Estate was a reminder that sometimes the simplest celebrations are the most memorable. With your loved ones, good food, and space to bust a few dance moves, you have all you need—no over-the-top decorations or complicated logistics required! I was honored to be their photographer and capture the entire day.
This wedding wasn’t just about the making of a marriage, but a family. The couple was intentional about including Kimberlee’s seven-year-old daughter, Jayden, in every aspect of the day. Kimberlee says, “My favorite thing about Caleb is how much he has stepped into the stepdad role, making sure my daughter feels loved, supported, and important.” At the time of their wedding, the couple was also expecting! They welcomed a second daughter in January, who made her appearance on their big day as the cutest baby bump.
White Barn Estate: Eastern Oregon Wedding Venue
Tucked into a picturesque valley in La Grande, Oregon, White Barn Estate was the perfect setting for Kimberlee and Caleb’s wedding. The couple fell in love with the venue after their site visit and knew it was the one! “I love that you can see the mountains, and the barn is historic. The chapel is just added beauty!” says Kimberlee.
She and Caleb held their ceremony on the chapel steps, surrounded by sweeping mountain vistas. The reception that followed was in the barn, where rustic wooden beams mingled with the warmth of bistro lights and the subtle glamour of antique iron chandeliers. They also took advantage of the recently updated, paved outdoor space beside the barn. As the heat of the day subsided, the couple and their guests migrated outdoors to dance underneath the stars and sip on drinks from the mobile bar (flavored with Oregon huckleberries, of course!).
A Family-Focused and Laidback Wedding Day
When planning their wedding, Kimberlee and Caleb prioritized their guests, including the youngest ones, over an aesthetic. Close friends helped them each get ready, while Kimberlee and Jayden helped each other put the finishing touch on their look—pink lip gloss! Jayden’s first look with Caleb was one of the sweetest moments of the morning, and a reminder of the couple’s top priority: their family. Afterward, Jayden led her mom to the same spot for her first look, a moment shared between all three as they brimmed with excitement for the day.
The reception was a laid-back affair, with guests spreading out to spend the evening however they wished. Some danced inside the barn, while others lounged outside on plush vintage sofas to enjoy the view of the setting sun. Kids roamed freely through the sprawling, grassy lawn, playing yard games, doing cartwheels, and wielding oversized glow sticks! It was a simple but meaningful evening, filled with all that mattered most: love, laughter, and the company of the couple’s nearest and dearest.
I’m so glad I could photograph Kimberlee and Caleb’s wedding at White Barn Estate! Their celebration was a breath of fresh air in its simplicity, and I look forward to capturing more like it. If you’re in the market for a wedding photographer and think we would be a good fit, don’t hesitate to reach out! As a traveling photographer, I work with couples all over the country and will jump at any opportunity to purchase a plane ticket. I can’t wait to chat!
