One evening, as the pair watched the sunset from their Brooklyn terrace, Ryan popped the question! And this East Coast couple began planning a dream West Coast destination wedding! Emily and Ryan's intimate beachside celebration in San Diego, CA, at the Catamaran Resort, was a fairytale ending to the first chapter in their story and an exciting beginning to the next. And I was beyond thrilled that I was there to document it all!
Read MoreEmma and Aaron are exactly the kind of adventurous but laid-back couple I can’t get enough of. These two spent the first year of their relationship traveling together to decide if they were “the one” (they were, of course!). Even though they’ve traveled all over, they chose to have their October 2020 wedding back home in Denver. But due to COVID restrictions, they had to adjust their original plan and postponed their bigger bash to September 2021. They didn’t want to cancel altogether, however, so, like many couples in the last two years, they opted for two weddings! And lucky me—I was invited to document both!
Read MoreNeither Covid, or a rainy Chicago fall day could stop Carol and Kevin from getting married this year. Carol and Kevin were married at an intimate ceremony at Loft Lucia in downtown Chicago, Illinois. When their 150 guest count was brought down to 30, these two focused on a relaxed and intimate wedding vibe. Alas, the only individual missing was their dog Mango, but Carol and Kevin were happy to bring their closest friends and family together for their important day; even if they would rather have stayed out of the lime light. Having not only cut their guest list to legal limits, Carol and Kevin also switched venues to accommodate the reduced guest count, and spaced their table adequately a part so all attendees were comfortable.

Read MoreIntimate weddings come in all shapes and sizes, and for Takesha and Vincent’s they chose one with a small group of their friends and family in Chicago, IL. Held at the First Baptist Congregational Church (otherwise known as the Union Park Congregational Church) in Chicago, IL, these two had a short religious ceremony before a quick first dance and dinner. Before parting ways with their small group, they went and around the room and each attendee gave the couple their well wishes!
Read MoreI love Alex and Asa’s boat wedding so much. It was everything that represents these two, and that is unique! They decided to get married at sunset on the Grand Belle of Geneva, on Lake Geneva. While rushing to fight some potential rain on the horizon, we did some fun portraits on the pier than jumped aboard. After getting situated, the Grand Belle took off onto the lake, and then we started their ceremony. Alex and Asa wanted to have a string quartet play during the whole affair, and their goal was to also insert parts of themselves throughout the ceremony. They both said their own vows, basically filled with jokes that had the entire room giggling. I am such a sucker for boats, and the lake; and it was such an adventure to capture this beautiful day for these two! In their words, they wanted “a nautical theme with a classy ambiance (string quartet), but not too serious or stuffy. We'll probably inject some humor into the ceremony,” and I’d say that was the exact definition of the evening.

Not only was it a family style dinner hosted by Manuela, serving the best locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients in downtown Los Angeles, Ca, but they also had a very short and emotional mini-mony in the Hauser & Wirth courtyard. Hauser & Wirth is a stunning art gallery installation and communal space in the heart of the Los Angeles Downtown Arts District. Complete with chickens, an underwear installation, and beautifully decorated walls; Hauser & Wirth rotate between local contributions. T

Megan and Jonathan had an absolutely beautiful elopement with their families at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, Ca on October 2nd. Meeting these two souls was no coincidence, as I was lucky enough for an introduction from their amazing friends Lindsey and Bryan. Being a photographer isn't always puppies and rainbows, and the summer months sometimes get a little insane. But it is weddings like these that remind us of why our jobs are so incredible, and make coming home to edit just all the more worth it!. From the moment of arriving, to staying late to capture the stars in the sky; every second was filled with such love shared throughout all individuals present.
Love does not cover how I feel about this gorgeous elopement wedding in Santa Barbara, California between the gorgeous Danielle and Kevin. Planned in just 4 months, we started at Hotel Milo for getting ready, traveled to the Alice Keck Park Memorial Gardens for the first look, stopped by the Santa Barbara Courthouse to say vows, and ended up at the Wine Cask Restaurant for a light dinner. Wearing a to die for dress by Maggie Sottero and having the most lovely flowers by Olive & Blooms, the whole event came together with Danielle's quick but meticulous planning. This elegant affair was sweet and simple, truly representing the love that these two have.
