Sarah and Jake’s Denver Botanic Gardens wedding celebration couldn’t have fit their love story more perfectly, and I was thrilled that I had the chance to capture every breathtaking moment on their big day. Towering hedges. Dappled sunshine. Brilliant flowers in every shade imaginable. And a bride and groom promising to love each other ‘til death and beyond.

But due to COVID restrictions, they had to adjust their original plan and postponed their bigger bash to September 2021. They didn’t want to cancel altogether, however, so, like many couples in the last two years, they opted for two weddings! And lucky me—I was invited to document both!

After countless reschedules involving beautiful locations all over Colorado, we were blocked at every turn from restrictions, colossal snowstorms, and schedules. Luckily for us, we finally found a time and a location we could meet at, and the winter weather was definitely in our favor- even if it was just a bit chilly.

Known specifically as Denver’s most versatile event venue, SKYLIGHT combines white brick walls and an abundance of light to create a blank canvas for any couple to design their dream wedding!

Read MoreWhen Samantha and Michael told me they wanted to shoot their engagement session at the Denver Union Station in Denver, Co I was so excited! When they told me that they were also dressing up in 20’s vintage attire to match their Gatsby themed wedding, well words don’t even describe what I was. Historic Denver Union Station provides the perfect backdrop for such an engagement session, having been built in 1914 in the current Beaux Arts Classicism and Italian Romanesque style. Luckily for us, the “no kissing” rule established in 1902 by the Denver Union Station depot police is no longer relevant; and Samantha and Michael were able to kiss to their hearts content.
