McNichols Civic Center Building Wedding in Denver, Co | Alex and Ricky
Alex and Ricky began their incredible wedding day adventure in downtown Denver, Colorado, preparing for their big day at the stylish Kimpton Hotel Monaco. Excitement buzzed through the air as they got ready surrounded by their closest friends and family. The laughter, anticipation, and warmth of those cherished pre-ceremony moments set the perfect tone for the celebration ahead. The celebration was beautifully coordinated by Erika Sandoval Event Planning & Design, with breathtaking florals by Veldkamps that showed up early in the morning.
A Classic Catholic Wedding Ceremony at St. Cajetan’s
The couple exchanged vows at the historic St. Cajetan's Catholic Church, a stunning venue with Spanish colonial revival architecture that offered a sacred and emotional backdrop for their heartfelt ceremony. Love and tradition filled the space as Alex and Ricky said their “I dos” surrounded by family and friends. The joy was palpable as they officially began the next chapter of their love story.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party climbed aboard the Banjo Billy Bus, a one-of-a-kind Colorado experience that looks part mountain cabin, part hillbilly shack. Originally designed for historic Denver tours, this quirky bus transformed into a moving celebration as it shuttled the wedding party to the reception venue. Laughter echoed and champagne flowed as they rolled through downtown, creating unforgettable memories before the party even started.
Downtown Denver Reception at McNichols Civic Center
The festivities continued at the iconic McNichols Civic Center Building, a stunning venue in the heart of Denver with soaring ceilings and grand architecture. Nestled near Civic Center Park, this space was the perfect canvas for a lively and elegant evening. Alex and Ricky made a joyful entrance as Mariachi Mexico serenaded their first dance—a heartfelt and lively moment that had the whole room cheering with love.
Adding a personal and festive touch, each adult guest was welcomed with a shot of 1921 Crema de Tequila at their place setting, a nod to the couple’s fun-loving spirits and a delightful way to invite everyone to celebrate alongside them.
Alex looked absolutely radiant in her gown from Brilliant Bridal, perfectly blending timeless elegance with modern charm. Ricky wore a sharp tuxedo from Men’s Wearhouse, beaming with joy. The bridesmaids stunned in royal blue dresses from Mayqueen Couture, a bold and beautiful contrast to the day’s soft romantic tones, while the groomsmen looked polished in their suits from Men’s Wearhouse.
Whether you’re dreaming of a mariachi first dance, exploring downtown Denver in a Banjo Billy Bus, or sharing tequila toasts with your loved ones, I’d be honored to capture it all. Let’s tell your love story with warmth, laughter, and candid moments you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
