Boho Engagement session at Vasquez Rocks | Christina and Dane

Christina and Dane had to reschedule their California wedding date not once, and not twice, but three times before they were able to finally tie down a date at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach in Dana Point for their upcoming wedding. It was only fitting after doing our first engagement session at Victoria Beach, to catch back up at Vasquez Rocks, and repeat the glorious process! I mean, how do you send out a ‘Save the Date for the third fracking time’ without epic photos at a Los Angeles famous location?

Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park is one of my favorite places in Los Angeles, since it feels nothing like the surrounding areas. Known for its rock formations, a toooon of shows including Star Trek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer were filmed there, not to mention The Muppet Movie! I’m personally a fan of how the California sunset reflects off the sedimentary layering, but that’s just getting technical. It is such a great place to go exploring for an engagement session!

Christina and Dane are such a joy to photograph every time, a fashionable joy at that. Christina rocked a custom fit white number, with a hat and a red jacket that played off the colors of the hills, and Dane looked amazing as always with a blue button up and an outfit change into white. Their wedding will be an absolute blast, and a well deserved party for this couple that has certainly been waiting long enough!
