Sunset Engagement Session at Leo Carrillo State Beach | Jenn and Stuart

Sometimes California pulls out all of the stops, and that was definitely the case for Jenn and Stuart’s sunset engagement session at Leo Carrillo State Beach. Not only did we get a picture perfect sunset, their son SJ even joined us for a few spur of the moment family photos. While I don’t work full time in California any longer, trips like these sure make me miss the weather- and dare I say it, even the beach.

Jenn and Stuart met in Honolulu while they were both in college, so a picturesque beach was an easy choice for our California Engagement Session. After being introduced at Chaminade University of Honolulu by a mutual friend, these two played the long game and didn’t officially start dating till two years later! It wasn’t long before they knew they were meant to be, and although they began talking about marriage, it took another 5 beautiful years for them to make it official.

I am now so honored to get to be a part of Jenn and Stuart’s life and their journey to getting married. After spending the evening running into the waves, climbing boulders, and Stuart performing some solid fireman carry’s; I know without a doubt their wedding is going to be an absolute blast! And I can’t imagine there will be anything as cute as SJ (and their new baby Benjamin) all dressed up and getting their boogy on on the dance floor at Cambria Pines Lodge.

After visiting on a rainy day, Stuart and Jenn absolutely fell in love with Cambria Pines Lodge in Cambria, Ca for their wedding destination. With 25 acres of stunning gardens, it’s not hard to see why. Jenn says, “Every time we go back I fall even more in love with it”, and judging by the online pictures, that isn’t hard to do! With only a few more months to go, I just can’t wait to get to capture this little family and watch them tie the knot officially.
