I could share this Bella Vista Groves wedding in Fillmore, California all day every day. Filled with navy blue accents, sunset kisses, and tons of tears; Rachel and Jon could not have had a more beautiful, heart wrenching Southern California fall wedding if they tried. I was lucky to be a part of their team of vendors, that they frequently referred to as ‘The Dream Team’ and with how beautiful the decor for this day turned out, they had to be right.
Read MoreThere is nothing I love more than watching my couples’ families grow, and getting to photograph Becca and Jay for their maternity session at the Ojai Lavender Farms in Ojai, Ca is no different. Having photographed their wedding in 2016, and their family over the last couple of years; I am so thrilled to see this beautiful couple be blessed with a baby girl. The only thing missing from this session was their two pups, that luckily were able to accompany us for their family session last year.

These two high school sweethearts wanted the day to be about family, and that was exactly how the day turned out. Surrounded by their 300 family members and friends, the day was filled with music and celebration. It was amazing to see Omar and Lupita again after their engagement session at Limoneira Ranch earlier this year. Omar used to work at Limoneira Ranch, so we were able to explore the orchard in all of its sunset glory.
Limoneira Ranch is 7,300-acres of the county’s largest producer of avocados, lemons, and oranges. When someone has a wedding here, the guests get to take home oranges as a wedding favor, which is such a cool feature at the end of the evening. Not to mention Lupita and Omar having a popcorn cart, taco bar, and other delicious reception snacks. These two are absolutely such a blast to get to spend the day with, and I can’t wait to see the adventures they go on next.

What made this even more special, was the fact that Omar used to work there and knew all the secrets of the property! It’s so cool for guests that have their wedding here, as they can take home the oranges as a wedding favor. A super cool fact about Limonerira Ranch is that is was a center of silent film production in the 1920s, and still attracts filmmakers to this day. With such a renowned history, I can’t even imagine how beautiful the venue will be on their actual wedding day in the fall for these two high school sweethearts.

These two are the two sweetest people you will ever find, and their wedding back in 2016 at Gerry Ranch in Camarillo, Ca was the definition of hot hot hot; literally, it was 104 degrees that day. What made this so much better was their mutual love of boats. They wore basically the cutest hats for their engagement shoot, and they tied in perfectly with the Ventura Harbor Village for their maternity shoot. From boats to this stunning Juniper tree, this entire session was a piece of sunset heaven. Their soon to be baby girl, Juniper, would definitely agree. This stunning historical venue, made for the perfect location for all of their out of town guests to join for their wedding. Besides just wearing her Nana’s beautiful dress for the better part of the day, (scroll down to see a side by side shot of Audrey and one of her Nana from her wedding day!) her friends and family came together to help make the entire day special.

Dakota was able to join us for their engagement session at Placerita Canyon State Park, CA, but would have been just too excited for all of their family and guests. Founded in 1893, Limoneria Ranch is smack dab in the middle of Santa Paula’s “Citrus Capital of the World”, and is the county’s largest producer of oranges, avocados, and lemons. If the venue couldn’t be any cooler for a wedding, guests are allowed to walk around the orange grove and take some home! But nothing could have made the night more special than the love between these two, and all of these gorgeous emotions.

Traffic was a little crazy, but we arrived just in time to be encompassed by a gorgeous sunset at the Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura, Ca. These two were so perfectly in sync; that I can't wait to see the amazing images we can make on their wedding day! From the sweet touches, to the constant giggles- photographing these lovebirds was a breeze. Since Dwight grew up in this amazing area, they have chosen the stunning and historical Bard Mansion in Port Hueneme to tie the knot next January, and I absolutely cannot wait to be a part of their momentous day.

I love getting to explore the facets of a small town, and Lisa and Ronny adventured all over beach-side Ventura, California for their incredible black tie Ventura City Hall Wedding. Ending at the Museum of Ventura County in Ventura, Ca, these two crafted a high end affair for their guests to dance the night away surrounded by their historical venue choices, with a quick duck out to take some night pictures across the street at the Mission Basilica San Buenaventura.

You never know how awesome people are going to be until they show up to their family photography session with a 1972 VW Kombi named Seagull and a 5 year old Miniature Australian Shepherd named Knox. These particular two awesome people go by the names of Kristen and Gavin, and have been married since 2013. Both originally from Denver, Colorado, these two turned a long distance relationship quickly into a life now lived in Ventura, California. Kristen was still in Colorado, and Gavin had moved to California, and a spontaneous decision in 2007 brought them to the city they live in now.
I am so in love with Ronny and Lisa, and their perfect pup! We had the chance to celebrate their engagement session in the same place they are getting married October 10th; Ventura, California! We started at the Ventura County Courthouse and ended at the Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura, California for an incredible sunset.
