Beach Engagement Session with Australian Shepherd in Ventura, Ca | Kristen and Gavin
This amazing session was published on Beyond the Wanderlust! All their love is beautifully included!
This beautiful session is not an engagements session but one of two gorgeous married people at Ventura Pier in Ventura, California. You never know how awesome people are going to be until they show up to their family photography session with a 1972 VW Kombi named Seagull and a 5 year old Miniature Australian Shepherd named Knox. These particular two awesome people go by the names of Kristen and Gavin, and have been married since 2013. Both originally from Denver, Colorado, these two turned a long distance relationship quickly into a life now lived in Ventura, California. Kristen was still in Colorado, and Gavin had moved to California, and a spontaneous decision in 2007 brought them to the city they live in now.
"So many of our friends and family thought we were nuts, we hardly knew or even spent time physically together, and now I was moving 1200 miles IN together, to a city I have never been! We've literally been together ever since, I love our story, and that was our first of many crazy adventures together! "
Knox, the gorgeous puppy featured in this post, was picked out when he was the size of guinea pig!
"Little did we know how much he'd change our lives! He brings us together! We've met so many new friends and adventured thousands of miles across the country and Canada on road trips just so that he could come along with us. We could not imagine our life without him!"
It was so hard to not get caught up in this little families love for each other, the whole family session was an absolute treat, and the love between these two was brighter than the sun we watched set!
"Sometimes we can get so caught up in routine that we forget to show appreciation for each other. Most of the time we even think about it, but forget to show it. It really is the little things. Leaving love notes on the fridge, coming home to dinner already made, or forehead kisses before bed! If we are feeling under appreciated, it usually only takes one of those random acts of kindness to let the other one know her I'm thankful for you and I love you, and then it's returned! "
Thank you Kristen and Gavin for letting me spend the evening with you, it was so incredibly hard to pick images for this blog, because every moment was just absolutely gorgeous!
