Black tie Ventura City Hall Wedding in Ventura, Ca | Lisa and Ronny
These two were featured on Southern California Bride! Go check out their favorites, and hear a little about Lisa and Ronny's story!
I love getting to explore the facets of a small town, and Lisa and Ronny adventured all over beach-side Ventura, California for their incredible black tie Ventura City Hall Wedding. Ending at the Museum of Ventura County in Ventura, Ca, these two crafted a high end affair for their guests to dance the night away surrounded by their historical venue choices, with a quick duck out to take some night pictures across the street at the Mission Basilica San Buenaventura.
We started their love filled day with a first look at the stunning Neoclassical architecture of historic City Hall, in which we continued their vows inside. Framed by an elegant Italian marble foyer, Lisa and Ronny had a small ceremony, choosing to invite their guests instead to the after party down the street- and an after party it was! But first we had to dance among the fluted Doric columns that don the outside of this incredible State of California Historical Landmark, listed on the National Register for Historic Places. It’s not every day you get to photograph two incredible souls at such a stunning venue, but I’m so glad I had the opportunity!
Ronny and Lisa met over their love of soccer, and it was Ronny's love of soccer that made Lisa truly fall in love with him, but not all weddings are 100% picture perfect. and poor over-eager Nikey had to be left out of the ceremony. He did get to join us briefly for their engagement session in Ventura, California in the same bow; but had to forgo his spotlight at their actual wedding.
"I knew there was something more when I first saw him coaching his little girl's soccer team. He cared so much for these young girl's success on and off the field, it was inspiring and fantastic to see him give so much of himself. For the proposal, Ronny sent our dog Nikey up the stairs and into bed with me. He had on a red bow tie with my ring cleverly intertwined into the ribbon. So confused at first, I found the beautiful Diamond Ring, and then Ronny proposed. I was beyond surprised. It was the sweetest moment with my two favorite "guys".
We ended the night down the road from Ventura City Hall, at the Museum of Ventura County in Ventura, Ca Recently renovated from their 1913 decor and smaller building, this community focused location now includes a new water feature facing the main thoroughfare of Ventura. While they are dedicated to providing the 30,000 individuals per year that enjoy the Museum’s exhibits for cultural learning, they also can throw one hell of a party in their outdoor plaza. Something that definitely occured for Lisa and Ronny’s wedding!
