There is not a moment that goes by that I am not grateful for families like the Stahl Family! I have gotten to photograph these beauties for all of their important milestones, and it warms my heart every year to see their children multiply. The Roberts Christmas Tree Farm in Pollock Pines, California is such an incredible place to capture a family of one, or a family of several, and their forest vibes continue to be one of my favorites.

Carmichael is a small city outside of Sacramento, and not one that most people would associate with a destination wedding- but I am here to prove all you naysayers wrong. After meeting on Bumble and sharing an incredible first date, they shared that “we've been inseparable ever since,” leading us to this once in a lifetime wedding location. Traveling from Austin, Texas; these two combined Aurel’s Romanian culture and Sarah Elizabeth’s love of the American River to create one unique and unforgettable romantic wedding.

There is so much that I love about Valerie and Cody and our engagement session around Chicago, IL, but how much they love Chicago is definitely the highlight.
Our engagement session tracks their love story, and the places they went leading up to Cody’s winter proposal. We started off our engagement session at Elaine’s Coffee Call in Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL; the very first coffee shop these two frequented together, and traveled out to The Art Institute of Chicago in downtown, where they would wander around the art, or Cody would wait for Valerie to get out of class. Our last stop was definitely the most meaningful, as Cody proposed to Valerie on a winter Chicago, IL day at the Oak Street Beach, a few minute walk from the picturesque North Avenue Beach.

With a stunning post-rain ceremony on the Cantigny East Lawn, portraits around the Rose Garden, and an evening filled with dancing in the Red Oak Room, this wedding was definitely one to be remembered. The only thing missing from this otherwise perfect day was the precense of Lauren and Will’s beautiful pups Lucy and Watson. Lucy was recently featured on Daily Dog Tag if you need to know what all her cuteness entails!
Read MoreAllison and Jeremy chose Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado for their engagement session because it perfectly matches their oh so awesome lifestyle. It’s hard to explain if you don’t know anyone, but Allison and Jeremy are van-lifers. Or RV lifers at any rate. They travel around the country with their dog, Raya, seeing new sights on the daily. We were able to get together when they were visiting their family in Colorado and do some exploring ourselves!

Known for their famous 'Pirate Tower’, Victoria Beach is incredibly picturesque with its white sand beach and historical accolades. The downside of any beach engagement session would definitely have to be how the ocean just knows that you are wearing white, but Christina and Dane laughed all the way through their session- even after being soaked to the bone!

What made Emily and Matt's wedding day special at Quail Ranch in Simi Valley, Ca was their dream to have the perfect unperfect wedding that reflected their love and unconventional relationship. Emily dreamed of an unpolished look, fulfilling it with mismatched rose and cream bridesmaid dresses and free-form cascading bouquets. The two of them also dreamed of an outdoor wedding!
Read MoreGaby and Josh’s wedding at Serendipity Garden Weddings in Oak Glen, Ca was meant to be the epitome of simple and romantic, but I would say the day was anything but simple! When a Southern California rain storm swept through the area with warnings of floods, the whole wedding day had to change plans quickly, in true wedding fashion. Even with torrential downpour on the horizon, you could absolutely not tell by the love between these two. Having been together since High School, Gaby and Josh knew that they had waited long enough to get married, and made the best of a wet situation. Luckily for everyone, the rain storm subsided as quickly as it came, and we were able to have the wedding that they always dreamed of.

Kassidy and Andrew were married at the Carondelet House in Los Angeles, Ca, and the whole night was full of beautiful unique details that I swoon over every time I think about it. To start with, Kassidy and Andrew decided to have an evening wedding, starting the actual celebration just as the sun was setting. Their ceremony also started and ended with readings from "The Awesome Book of Love," which mentions dinosaurs, which I am an absolute sucker for. I had to look it up after the fact just to be sure the amazingness I though I had heard. The whole things was also Spanish inspired, a theme that expanded into the Cuatro Caminos Arts & Flamenco group that entertained both the wedding guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour, but also taught dances. The whole evening also had a giant focus on food, with not only a pizza truck arriving at the end of the night, but homemade salsa as their wedding favors. I scattered quotes from the amazing Kassidy throughout this blog, and you’re going to love her as much as I do after you read it all!

Having photographed their wedding in 2016, and their family over the last couple of years; I am so thrilled to see this beautiful couple be blessed with a baby girl. Words don’t even get close to describing how amazing Ali and Mike’s wedding at The Saguaro Palm Springs in Palm Springs, Ca was, but I’ll try and give it a shot! First off, this venue is rainbow colored- you heard me, rainbow. The carpeting, the windows, the poles, and all the fencing around this desert venue are painted different colors. You can only imagine how exciting this is for a photographer that loves color! On top of that, Palm Springs, Ca never fails to be awesome, with it’s ubiquitous palm trees and bright blue sky. Pair that with a couple who loves having fun, their dog name Snacks, and some tiki themed shoes; and you have a party waiting to happen.

I had the pleasure of photographing these three on the Naperville Riverwalk for their engagement session in Illinois. While most of my engagement session blog posts are about my couples, this one will be a little bit puppy centric; as Lauren and Will are my kind of people, and that kind of people are dog people.
Read MoreThere is so much I love about Katelyn and Jake’s wedding at the Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara, Ca, that it is hard to choose just one thing to talk about! Katelyn and Jake had to switch wedding venues the week before the big day, after meticulously picking Elings Park in Santa Barbara, Ca because it “truly felt like home'“. With rain on the horizon, Chase Palm Park came to the rescue, and they were able to quickly relocate to a venue that had indoor opportunities. Having met in the entertainment world, these two paired their love of movies with their religions- creating an absolutely unique Mennonite / Jewish / Movie Lovers smorgasbord of a wedding day.

Pairing navy wraps with an abundance of greenery and white florals, Hangar 21 South and their industrial airplane hangar allowed for a beautiful but modern vibe.
Read MoreI’m not going to lie, I spent way too much time loving every single moment of this entire wedding day at the Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel, in Agoura Hill, Ca! From my very first meeting with the couple, I was beyond stoked to hear that their wedding was not only on May the 4th, (ahem, may the force be with you, ahem), but it was going to include some incredibly classy Star Wars elements. I honestly do not think I’ve seen so many light-sabers in one location, and I also don’t think I’ll ever see a dance floor conga line while simultaneously battling each other.
