It was so exciting to finally meet Priscilla and Robert for their engagement session today at the absolutely beautiful Pasadena Courthouse in Pasadena, California. With everyone's crazy schedules, we had to plan this session in the middle of the day, but with these two rocking some gorgeous attire; and the architectural beauty of this historic building- we definitely made it work!
Read MoreI had the pleasure of meeting Audrey and Dwight for their engagement session on their trip down to California from Oregon! Traffic was a little crazy, but we arrived just in time to be encompassed by a gorgeous sunset at the Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura, Ca. These two were so perfectly in sync; that I can't wait to see the amazing images we can make on their wedding day! From the sweet touches, to the constant giggles- photographing these lovebirds was a breeze. Since Dwight grew up in this amazing area, they have chosen the stunning and historical Bard Mansion in Port Hueneme to tie the knot next January, and I absolutely cannot wait to be a part of their momentous day.

It was so much fun getting to photograph Megan and James in the Sierra Foothills in Northern California for their wedding anniversary. We decided to explore the American River and the surrounding forests, a few minutes north of their hometown in Placerville, Ca. It is hard to beat the natural design of the forests of California, and I am so lucky to have gotten to grow up here.
Read MoreAdina and Sean had an incredibly mismatched offbeat wedding at The Pavilion at North Point at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, Ca. Based around their mutual love of music, and being the center of attention, they combined all of their favorite things to create a wedding day that they would actually want to attend. Paired with the whimsical but yet elegant backdrop of Southern California’s picturesque Calamigos Ranch, complete with a working ferris wheel, this was truly a night to remember.

I love getting to explore the facets of a small town, and Lisa and Ronny adventured all over beach-side Ventura, California for their incredible black tie Ventura City Hall Wedding. Ending at the Museum of Ventura County in Ventura, Ca, these two crafted a high end affair for their guests to dance the night away surrounded by their historical venue choices, with a quick duck out to take some night pictures across the street at the Mission Basilica San Buenaventura.

You never know how awesome people are going to be until they show up to their family photography session with a 1972 VW Kombi named Seagull and a 5 year old Miniature Australian Shepherd named Knox. These particular two awesome people go by the names of Kristen and Gavin, and have been married since 2013. Both originally from Denver, Colorado, these two turned a long distance relationship quickly into a life now lived in Ventura, California. Kristen was still in Colorado, and Gavin had moved to California, and a spontaneous decision in 2007 brought them to the city they live in now.
I am so in love with Ronny and Lisa, and their perfect pup! We had the chance to celebrate their engagement session in the same place they are getting married October 10th; Ventura, California! We started at the Ventura County Courthouse and ended at the Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura, California for an incredible sunset. Stay tuned for pictures from their upcoming wedding at the Ventura County Courthouse and Museum of Ventura County, and so many congratulations to these two amazing people.

Photographing the Bernatowicz family for their indoor newborn session in Los Angeles, California was so much fun, especially when you add in not only a cute newborn baby, but also a puppy. I was so blessed to get to photograph this amazing family and their newborn son Jackson for not only their newborn session, but several follow up sessions documenting his growth!

Sean and Lisa are such an absolutely amazing couple, and I had the pleasure of getting to spend the evening with them in Santa Barbara, California for their engagement session. They met through competing in triathlons, and the entire session was filled with giggling, running, and joking that they wish they had bikes. Their love was so completely genuine, that the moments flew by and culling down their pictures was an absolute feat! From exploring El Capitan Canyon to sunset on Refugio State Beach, the golden light we encountered was a perfect reflection of the brightness and joy of their relationship!

Lindsey and Bryan were such a treat to get to spend the evening with for their day after wedding portraits in the beautiful Santa Ynez mountains overlooking Santa Barbara, California at the popular hiking spot aptly named Lizards Mouth Rock. Not only did this married couple hike into the Santa Ynez Mountains, and then change into their wedding attire, they also stayed out way way past dark as we waited for the stars to come out! Santa Barbara, California provided an absolutely incredible view of the far off Santa Barbara skyline for these two, and the picturesque rocks were a perfect combination for their beige wedding attire.

Angelina & Brandon's rustic fairytale wedding in Ben Lomond, California at the gorgeous Stones and Flowers Santa Cruz Retreat was entirely incredible, and entirely DIY. The entire wedding was planned and completed by Angelina and their wedding party, down to the spray painted table settings, and floating heart in the barn. I knew beforehand that they were doing a lot of details themselves, and also that the location was going to be gorgeous, because hello, redwoods, but it’s hard to even put into words just how picturesque everything turned out. It truly was a modern day fairy tale in the woods!
