Nature Boardwalk Engagement Session at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, IL | Amanda and Brian
It was pretty easy to pick a location for Amanda and Brian’s engagement session, since their one requirement was it had to be dog friendly for their Golden Retriever Charles. We decided to meet up at the Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, IL; home to the famous honeycomb sculpture and picturesque views of the city skyline. I absolutely love photographing at the Nature Boardwalk, as it is truly an urban oasis in the middle of a bigger city. Filled with ponds, and native landscaping, Lincoln Park Zoo’s South Pond has far surpassed its humble roots of mere decoration; into a thriving habitat.
Charles showed up to our engagement session his Sunday best, wearing his blue and yellow bow tie. A two year old purebred Golden Retriever, he like many others has also put on a little bit of weight during quarantine this year, and is currently on a little bit of a diet. This did not stop from him saying hello to every Chicago, IL passerby, and posing for the camera in all his cute two year old glory.
Amanda and Brian were also at this engagement session, and I have to say they are two of my new favorite people ever. Together since 2012, they got engaged out in California at the absolutely incredible winery of Leoness Cellars in Temecula, CA. They travel the world together, they play sports together, and of course, they parent a dog together. Our entire session was full of smiles, and laughter, and I can honestly say I am over the moon excited for their wedding next fall at the The Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago, IL.
