Cloudy Engagement session at Milton Lee Olive Park | Stephanie and Nick

I was so excited to hang out with Stephanie and Nick again for their Chicago engagement session. After meeting up once to discuss their wedding day, it was a treat to get to take some fun pictures together at the incredible backdrop of Milton Lee Olive Park! This is definitely one of my favorite places to go for engagement sessions, or even wedding photos, as the skyline of Chicago is just absolutely stunning, even on a cloudy day.  

Stephanie and Nick have one of those cute meet-cute stories where they randomly meet at a party because some friends think it might just be a good idea, and with a little help from the the universe, and a lot of help from themselves, they find their happily ever after. Nick told me that, “I took a leap of faith and flew to NYC to take her out. It was an amazing first date. We stayed up all night talking and dancing all weekend. Turns out, it would be our last "first date" ever.”  

Through a Covid quarantine, and a few moves along the way, I was beyond stoked to get to meet these two in the Windy City while they plan their Wisconsin Club wedding in Milwaukee. Wisconsin is not only the future wedding location, but also the location where Stephanie and Nick celebrated their proposal. After proposing at North Ave Beach in Chicago (also an incredible engagement session location!), Nick surprised Stephanie with a trip up to Wisconsin where all of their friends and family were waiting to celebrate.

Stephanie looked absolutely stunning in an emerald green number with Nick rocking a navy blue suit jacket for our Olive Park engagement session. These colors definitely helped not only Lake Chicago, but that stunning Chicago skyline pop! I love when couples wear something they not only love, but feels like themselves. You can definitely see their beaming smiles throughout our session! Afterwards we had a few drinks at a local bar, and finalized their wedding day timeline. All of my wedding collections offer timeline consultation, and it definitely makes the day run a lot smoother when I know what your photography expectations are!

It is going to be such a blast to return to the mid-west and photograph these two for their upcoming summer wedding in Milwaukee!
