“We called ourselves The Breakfast Club,” Lindsi laughed. “We even had matching socks with eggs and bacon on them.”

Nick admitted he had a crush first and eventually asked Lindsi out. “Our first date was shopping for her own longboard, then grabbing pizza and wandering around Bay Bluffs park. We kissed that night and made it official pretty quickly.”

Fast forward seven years to a winter trip to New York City. “We were at the Botanical Gardens,” Nick shared, “and I knew it was the right place. I snuck over to our friends and had them get into position for photos.”

Lindsi, who had a feeling it was coming after Nick accidentally hinted about the ring months earlier, remembers the moment clearly:
“I was so excited I had to remind myself, Okay, you’re saying ‘yes’ in your head, now say it out loud.”

"Nick wanted to see some more options, which we did, but I had a gut feeling about it, and got great vibes from Judi, the owner," Lindsi shared. Before the ceremony, Lindsi and Nick shared a private first look outside The St. Vrain, against the venue’s stunning brick walls. The moment was filled with excitement and anticipation as the couple took a quiet moment to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. True to their unconventional style, Lindsi and Nick’s wedding rings were also unique. “We got our rings from a pawn shop,” they laughed. “Untraditional, yes, but hey, we love them.” Their rings weren’t about following tradition, but about finding something that was meaningful and true to who they are as a couple.

One of the highlights was the olive bonsai tree they watered during the ceremony. “Olive bonsai trees symbolize peace, wisdom, prosperity, and longevity, so I felt it was a great lil addition to the ceremony,” Lindsi explained. Instead of traditional flower girls, members of the wedding party threw flower petals, adding a unique and charming twist to the processional. Their ceremony was officiated by Will, one of Nick’s best friends from Florida, making it even more special and sincere. The ceremony itself was intimate and set the tone for the joyful celebration that followed.

When it came to their wedding reception, Lindsi and Nick were all about fun and celebration. “I want it to be a huge party and celebration of our love,” Nick said. “I hope everyone gets drunk and has a great time! In a fun touch, Nick gave his groomsmen cigars to enjoy during the celebration. This small, personal detail helped create the relaxed, fun atmosphere the couple had envisioned for their wedding day.
