Wedding Anniversary in Grand Canyon National Park, Az | Elizabeth and Caleb

There is nothing I love more than seeing my couples featured on amazing sites like Something Turquoise!

Elizabeth and Caleb have been married for 10 blissful years, having met in high school and just recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary. They had planned on renewing their vows as well as having photos taken to commemorate the occasion, but through unforeseen life circumstances the plans fell through and it was put off. Elizabeth is a local photographer to the Flagstaff area and Caleb is a firefighter, so their schedules allowed for us to make this occasion the something special they both deserved.

Lucky for us, the morning of the 25th the Grand Canyon released that the South Rim would be open for visitors and we were greeted with snow capped peaks and 18-degree weather.

Having both been born and raised in the same small mountain town, we never would have imagined our happily ever after to look and feel as great as it does today. Caleb and I live in Flagstaff, AZ, and have our entire lives. When we met in high school, we never looked back, and fell in love while being outdoors, going on adventures, and literally learning and growing up together.

Living in Northern Arizona we are spoiled by all the insanely gorgeous areas, including the Grand Canyon. When in elementary school, every kid gets to go on a field trip to visit the Grand Canyon, and we were no exception. You pull up to the canyon by train, unload, walk to the edge of the cliff-side, look over and…. find more interest in the gift shop! As fourth graders, it didn’t really speak to us all that much, and felt more like a field trip to a really big hole. Fast forward 14 years to now. Maybe it’s being older and wiser, or being able to appreciate the beauty found around us, but visiting the Grand Canyon now leaves us speechless. It is one of the most amazingly beautiful places, and we could think of no other place to celebrate our ten years together, than there.
