I love when things line up just right, and photographing Sierra and Josh’s engagement session at the Sapphire Point Overlook in Dillon, Co was just that. Sierra and Josh live in California, and are having their wedding in Lake Tahoe at the The Ridge Tahoe, and just so happened to be in the area for a family member’s wedding in Colorado! I have known Sierra since High School, so getting to photograph her nuptials definitely brings an incredible amount of joy to my heart.

What I love about Sierra and Josh absolutely has to be their sense of humor. While roaming around Sapphire Point, these two had all three of us cracking up over whatever Josh could think to whisper in Sierra’s ear, or whenever we were visited by a local Sapphire Point chipmunk. But what really made this Dillon, Colorado engagement session special was the fact that Josh and Sierra do archery. Josh has been doing it for several years and has now been teaching Sierra as well! The two of them had their bows in the car, and it was so much fun getting to see their poses in action. I always encourage my couples to bring a hobby to their engagement session, so it tickles me pink to get one as unique as archery bows!

I cannot wait to see these two at the The Ridge Tahoe later this year in Stateline, Nv. That incredible venue overlooks Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains, which will definitely compliment their engagement session overlooking the Rockies.
