Rainy Wedding at Serendipity Garden Weddings in Oak Glen, Ca | Gaby and Josh

Serendipity Gardens is an amazing place, and I love that Gaby and Josh were featured on Wedding Chicks!

Gaby and Josh’s wedding at Serendipity Garden Weddings in Oak Glen, Ca was meant to be the epitome of simple and romantic, but I would say the day was anything but simple! When a Southern California rain storm swept through the area with warnings of floods, the whole wedding day had to change plans quickly, in true wedding fashion. Even with torrential downpour on the horizon, you could absolutely not tell by the love between these two. Having been together since High School, Gaby and Josh knew that they had waited long enough to get married, and made the best of a wet situation. Luckily for everyone, the rain storm subsided as quickly as it came, and we were able to have the wedding that they always dreamed of.

Gaby and Josh chose Serendipity Garden Weddings for, you guessed it, their beautiful gardens and landscaping. They loved that it had the “rustic and intimate vibe (they) were looking for in a venue.” The benefits of choosing a venue as beautiful as Serendipity Garden Weddings is that at the end of the day it does not take a lot of decorating to make the location shine. Located in Oak Glen, California next to the San Bernardino Mountains, this romantic venue has everything from mountain views to a ceremony pergola. Gaby and Josh based their wedding color scheme off of these mountains. The two said, “Our color scheme was based based off simplicity and we felt the dusty green was a good complimentary color with the scenery at Serendipity Gardens.”

What I love about this couple, is there absolutely soul touching relationship story. It all started with a Middle School crush, which led to them finally dating in High School. They say from there, “The spark was lit, and the rest was history,” which I thing compliments their wedding sparkler exit pretty well.

I was able to spend the day with these two at the Imperial Sand Dunes for their engagement session, so watching their story finally come full circle had me in tears most of the day. I cannot wait to see what adventure these two go on next.

This was such a fun California wedding- even if it did rain! Check out more below!
